Implementing a new intranet requires careful planning to meet organizational needs and enhance productivity. Key aspects include identifying the need, managing content, ensuring accessibility, and learning from past experiences.
In this presentation, you will learn:
With nearly 25 years of strategic marketing and communications experience, I bring a wealth of expertise to my role as Intranet Strategy Manager at Michigan Medicine. My most recent achievement involves successfully launching a new intranet site for our organization using SharePoint Online in July 2024. Over two years, I collaborated with stakeholders, navigated server sunsets, migrated over 100 internal sites, and engaged with 200 individuals to ensure a seamless transition. In addition to my intranet work, I also manage and oversee the University of Michigan Medical School’s external website which launched in January 2024.
My passion lies in leveraging technology to enhance communication, streamline processes, and drive organizational success. As a recognized change agent for good, I strive to transform digital landscapes, empower teams, and enhance user experiences through innovative solutions. I believe a well-crafted intranet fosters collaboration, empowers employees, and contributes to our mission to create the future of healthcare through scientific discovery, education innovations, and compassionate care.
